MMM14 Week 1 Round Up

Posted on

One of my goals for this year’s MMM is to determine where there are gaps in my wardrobe and fix them so this week’s Me Made May (MMM14) round up is a mixture of old favorites and new patterns.

Thursday May 1st: Liesl knit sweater by Ysolda Teague, Ravelry notes here

Friday, May 2nd: Cabarita top by Cake Patterns,  review here

Saturday, May 3rd: Mabel skirt by Colette Patterns, review here

Sunday, May 4th: I spent a relaxing day reading and sewing so only wore PJ’s!

Monday, May 5th: Roza blouse by Kate & Rose Patterns,  review here

Tuesday, May 6th: Giselle dress by Kate & Rose Patterns, review here

Wednesday, May 7th: Afternoon Blouse by Jennifer Lauren Vintage, review here

Wednesday, May 7th:

  1. Super cute week! I am impressed that your style is so consistent! Me Made May is making me realize that my syle is all over over the place and I might look like a crazy person.

    • Thanks! I hadn’t consciously tried to dress consistently but now that you mentioned it, I did wear a lot of red and blue (and I have on black and blue today!).

Maybe at the end of MMM I will see where certain colors are missing from my wardrobe and have to work on that!

  2. I think I just learned that I’ve spent way too much time on indie pattern sites and reading indie pattern sewing blogs, given that I only recently started following your blog and was able to identify every single sewing pattern that you used for MMM last week. 😉 Like Megan, I am also impressed with how consistent your personal style is!

    • Thanks Michelle! I’m wearing a Mabel skirt today and I have another Giselle dress that hasn’t made its way to the blog yet on tap for tomorrow. Hope to have my Mabel pattern review up in the next few days so perhaps next week will be something new. I sew indie patterns almost exclusively (don’t really like the instructions, styles or sizing of the big 4) so if you are familiar with Cake, Colette, Kate and Rose then you probably are familiar with most of my clothes 🙂
